December 9-13, 2026 | Lagos and Uyo, Nigeria
For the first time in history, the complete Word of God is arriving in the Ibibio heart language for more than 7 million Ibibio people. You are invited from December 9–13 for a Bible launch experience in Uyo, Nigeria, with an optional December 14–15 YouVersion excursion located in Lagos.
Join us for a week in Nigeria to stand beside the Ibibio people as they both receive and engage their long-awaited Bible in the language they think, speak, and dream in.
The light shines in the darkness.
This December, you can be there to see what God is doing firsthand.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Ke aditọọñọ ikọ akebaaba, ndin ikọ akeba ye Abasi, ikọ akenyʌñ ado Abasi... Uwem aketo anye, ndin uwem ado akedo unwana afịd awo. Unwana ami a-ayamma ke ekịm, ndin ekịm ikanna anye.
For generations, the Ibibio people have worshipped and built their lives around a faith they could not yet fully access in their own language. That changes this December, when the first complete Ibibio Bible arrives.
This Ibibio Full Bible Launch marks a first-ever, combined celebration of the work of Close the Bible Gap and illumiNations, two movements uniting to ensure that the Word is not simply translated, but arrives in hearts and hands and takes deep root in the lives, churches, and communities of the Ibibio people.
The week also includes an optional extension to witness the ribbon-cutting of the new YouVersion Nigeria office in Lagos, another historic milestone for Bible access across the continent.
Availability is limited, so please RSVP today.
